I’m a vocal advocate for representation of the Black community in areas of dementia, caregiving and children’s literature. I’m committed to promoting work-life balance and self-care, including the sandwich generation caregivers. As a sandwich-generation caregiver, I’m often embattled with finding the sweet spot of prioritizing my life while caring for loved ones. I desire to create safe spaces for caregivers to navigate their feelings and emotions while ensuring we all feel supported.
I want to help people find the resources they need and to demystify the stigma around dementia and Alzheimer's disease. People of colour who are caregivers have decreased health, and I am passionate about changing this. Let's work together to make caregiving an easier process and experience.

Women in their mid-30s to mid-50s have significant buying power, yet we're often overlooked and underrepresented. I hope to inspire others like me and contribute to changing the narrative by advocating for more inclusion of middle-aged women and women of colour in all areas of society.

I’m Valene Campbell—a multi-hyphenate creator, advocate, and entrepreneur. My journey hasn’t been easy, but every hardship and triumph has led me here, to a life built on purpose.
I know firsthand how necessary it is to do the things you love, even when fear and doubt threaten to hold you back. Writing, storytelling, and uplifting others weren’t just career choices for me—they were lifelines. Hardships and disappointments, including navigating caregiving for a loved one with dementia, showed me how our deepest pain can lead us to our truest calling.
